Lafayette’s conference on “The Future of the Liberal Arts College in America and Its Leadership Role in Education Around the World” has been featured three times in The Chronicle of Higher Education and once in Inside Higher Ed.

In The Chronicle, “A President Surveys the Future of Liberal Arts Colleges” provides highlights from the opening night talks presented April 9 by President Daniel H. Weiss and Eugene M. Tobin, program officer for The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Another article, “A Liberal Arts Leader Weighs Costs and Quality,” focuses on a talk presented April 10 by Catharine Bond Hill, president of Vassar College. The third article, “Liberal Arts Colleges Are Urged to Move Beyond Disciplinary ‘Comfort Zones’,” is about a talk presented by Wendy L. Hill, provost and dean of the faculty at Lafayette, April 11.

In Inside Higher Ed, “Everybody’s Worried Now” discusses the cost of educating students at liberal arts colleges and potential ways of decreasing those costs.
