Students in the Easton Community

Students volunteered for projects benefiting Easton Area Community Center, Easton Area Neighborhood Center, Easton Nursing Center, Family YMCA of Easton and Phillipsburg, Firth Youth Center, West Ward Neighborhood Partnership, and ProJeCt of Easton. These were organized by the College’s Landis Community Outreach Center.

Projects included indoor and outdoor clean-ups, leading youth groups, painting, gardening, and other activities to help local nonprofits.

In addition to the projects in Easton, eight regional Lafayette alumni chapters coordinated volunteer activities in San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; Watertown, Mass.; Philadelphia; New Jersey; and the Lehigh Valley.

  2. Good people do good work. Our club is involved in the field of integration. It’s fun to work in the social sector and the results can be seen!

  3. Sounds like a cool project. I wish my college did something like this. I would love to volunteer someplace helping to restore houses in low income neighborhoods.

“Is College Worth the Cost?”

At Lafayette, the answer is a resounding yes. Payscale.com reports that Lafayette is third among all liberal arts schools in average starting salary (excluding military academies) and sixth in 30-year return on investment.
