General Lafayette Inn Will Host Birthday Celebration for the Marquis

Alumni, families invited to attend Sept. 6 event held by Chris Leonard ’90

Alumni in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area and their families are invited to join an informal birthday celebration in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette on the 250th anniversary of his birth, Thursday, Sept. 6, at the General Lafayette Inn, 646 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, Pa.

Hosted by proprietor Chris Leonard ’90, the event will begin at 5 p.m. Complimentary cake will be provided. No RSVP is necessary.

The event is part of the College’s yearlong celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the Marquis de Lafayette.

At Lafayette, the answer is a resounding yes. Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports that Lafayette is in the top 1.5 percent of colleges and universities nationally with the highest return on investment.
