Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff members came out to celebrate the 253rd birthday of the Marquis de Lafayette, Sept. 7. Lafayette College hosted a party on the Quad for the man in whose honor the College is named. The evening included a picnic-style dinner, entertainment by student musical groups, screenings of the film Lafayette: The Lost Hero, and an appearance by the Marquis himself, as portrayed by historical interpreter Loic Barnieu.
