Angela Coxe ’03 uses Alumni Online Community to share good news

As a member of the Alumni Online Community, Angela Coxe ’03 is a bearer of good news.

Coxe announced her acceptance to the George Washington University School of Law Masters in Law program and that she passed her patent registration exam. She is a patent attorney at Hoffman & Baron LLP, where she handles patent issues related to computer hardware and software, communications systems, Internet resource-based hardware and software, business methods, and mechanical arts.

“I enjoy the Class Notes section because it is always nice to read about accomplishments and celebrations of fellow classmates,” says Coxe. “I also like the power search feature because it provides you with contact information quickly and easily.”

She had a celebration of her own to add to the online community when she announced her marriage to Steven Berkowitz ’04. The couple traveled to Kauai and Maui, Hawaii, for their honeymoon.

Staying in touch is the primary reason Coxe signed up for the Alumni Online Community. For someone with a busy schedule, it helps her feel connected to Lafayette.

“Not only can you stay in touch with fellow classmates, but you are able to network with classmates and other alumni with whom you may not have interacted otherwise,” she says. “It has helped me maintain connections with classmates and other alumni in the Lafayette community.”

Lafayette’s Alumni Online Community is a secure resource available exclusively to the College’s alumni. Features include:

“Is College Worth the Cost?”

At Lafayette, the answer is a resounding yes. Payscale.com reports that Lafayette is third among all liberal arts schools in average starting salary (excluding military academies) and sixth in 30-year return on investment.
