Students, staff, and faculty have collected 7,130 pounds of items discarded by students moving out for the summer as part of the Green Move‐Out. All items are being donated to various local organizations to minimize waste.
More than 30 volunteers collected items from designated drop‐off areas established throughout the campus May 13 – 17, and from graduating seniors and students living in off‐campus housing May 24.
Organizations receiving donations include American Family Services Foundation, SPCA of Northampton County, Safe Harbor of Easton, ProJeCt of Easton food pantry, Better World Books, and the College Hill Presbyterian Church furniture bank run by David Hogenboom, professor emeritus of physics.
