In Slate magazine, James Abels ’00 tells of his frustrating, humorous experience with a New York program for entrepreneurs launching new businesses

James Abels ’00 is a New York City journalist and founder of Three Minute Media LLC. He is developing an online video series covering news about the media. Previously, he was a media reporter for Forbes.com after reporting for Financial Times Group’s Mergermarket intelligence and analysis division. Slate magazine recently published his account of his attempts to access the Self Employment Assistance Program, offered by New York to help entrepreneurs launch new businesses.

“Is College Worth the Cost?”
