Highlights from the Easton Farmers’ Market

Third annual Zucchini 500 will be July 25

The Easton Farmers’ Market will hold the third annual Zucchini 500 Saturday, July 25 in Centre Square.

Children and adults can enter in one of three zucchini weight classes: sports car, mid-size, and SUV. Entry fee is $5 and includes one zucchini, wheels and axels, an official racing button, and access to carving tools. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest car in each category, as well as most creative design for children and adults.

Carving begins at 9 a.m. with the race starting at 11 a.m. Live music will be provided by Tom Church from 9 –11 a.m., and zucchini-themed specials will be available throughout the market

As the nation’s oldest continuously operating open-air farmers’ market, the Easton Farmers’ Market offers information, ideas, recipes, and more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, May through November.
