Susan Averett, Dana Professor of Economics, was interviewed for the segment “What is Middle Class?” appearing 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 5 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 7 as part of PBS 39′s Tempo Public Square.Averett will discuss the changing economy and how it has affected the state of the middle class in America today. She also will address the idea of the American Dream in light of the current economic climate. Averett is the author of Women and the Economy: Family, Work, and Pay and teaches courses on health economics, women and the economy, and econometrics.
