Lafayette closes out the 2011 football season with the 147th game in college football’s most-played rivalry starting 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Lehigh’s Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem.

The Lafayette-Lehigh game will be televised on the Lafayette Sports Network, RCN-4, WBPH-60 (Lehigh Valley), RCN-8 (Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago) and MASN.  It will be streamed live at GoLeopards.com and ESPN3.com and available on the radio on WJRH-FM 104.9. More coverage can be found on Gameday Central and Lafayette News Stand.

Students got ready for the game at Kamine Gym Thursday night during the annual Rivalry Weekend pep rally. There was a Mountain Hawk wing-eating contest, a Toss the Hawk event, and a Lafayette Spirit Costume competition. Comedians Myq Kaplan, from the latest season of “Last Comic Standing,” and Ben Bailey, the host of “Cash Cab” on the Discovery Channel, closed out the night. The rivalry dates back to 1884 when Lafayette shut out Lehigh 50-0 in Easton. The Leopards lead the series 76-65-5. Home field advantage plays a big role: Lafayette leads 41-24-5 when playing in Easton and Lehigh has a 40-36-0 edge over the Leopards in Bethlehem.
