Lauren’s First and Goal, a nonprofit started in 2004 by John Loose, defensive coordinator of the football team, was highlighted recently on ESPN in a video segment that also aired at halftime of last week’s home football game against Yale.
John and Marianne Loose founded the charity in honor of their daughter, Lauren, a 15-year-old pediatric brain tumor survivor. Since its inception, it has raised more than $1.5 million toward its mission to provide financial support for brain tumor research and cancer services, to offer financial and emotional support to families living with pediatric cancer, and to increase awareness of the disease.

Results from NSSE can provide prospective students with insights into how they might learn and develop at a given college.
