The offering of tickets to members of the campus community beginning Feb. 20 for the upcoming addresses by three world figures in April was so successful that the supply of tickets for these events is exhausted. The addresses by Tony Blair and Jane Goodall—and the address by President Jimmy Carter, if it is held inside—will be televised live in Colton Chapel. There will be no tickets required to view the telecast.
Tony Blair, former prime minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will deliver the Lives of Liberty Lecture for 2012-13 4 p.m. Monday, April 8.
Renowned primatologist and conservationist Jane Goodall, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, will deliver the Thomas Roy and Lura Forrest Jones Visiting Lecture for 2012-13 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11.
Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States, will deliver the inaugural Robert ’69 and Margaret Pastor Lecture in International Affairs 4 p.m. Monday, April 22.
There will be no second offering of tickets to students, faculty, staff, and retirees as had been planned pending the availability of tickets, and there will be no general offering to audiences beyond the campus (alumni, parents, and the public).
Tickets will be required to attend the talks by Tony Blair and Jane Goodall. President Carter’s address is scheduled to be held on the Quad, and tickets will be required only if the event is held in the rain site, Kamine Gymnasium.
