Lafayette will hold its 178th Commencement Saturday, May 25.
The event will feature an address by Anne-Marie Slaughter, professor of politics and international affairs at Princeton University and one of the nation’s most influential commentators on international relations and global issues, and will include the awarding of five honorary degrees. The processional will begin 2:15 p.m. with the program starting at 2:30 p.m. Also scheduled for Saturday is a Baccalaureate service at 10:30 a.m. with a sermon by Alexandria Hendrickson, College chaplain and director of religious and spiritual life.
The Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies are scheduled to be held on the Quad. In case of rain, one or both ceremonies may be held in Allan P. Kirby Sports Center. If there is a change in the location for either ceremony based on the weather, that information will be available by calling (610) 330-5809.
Commencement will also be broadcast live online. A link on the Lafayette homepage will provide a view of the ceremonies for those who can’t make it to campus.
In addition, Commencement will be recorded and made available on the College’s YouTube channel. A link to the video also will be available on the Lafayette homepage.
