Photo Gallery: Lafayette Celebrates LGBT Pride Month

In celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month in October, Lafayette sponsored numerous programs including film screenings, a panel discussion on marriage equality, the 2013 Temple Visiting Lecture by playwright and performer John Dayo Aliya, a talk by gay-rights advocate and philosophy professor John Corvino, and Condom Bingo.

The photo gallery below is of Corvino’s presentation, “’Haters,’ ‘Sinners,’ and the Rest of Us: The Gay Debate Today,” and bingo, where students learned about safe sex. Images are by Julia Guarch ’15.

LGBT Pride Month is co-sponsored by the Office of Intercultural Development; the Philosophy and Religious Studies departments; the Africana Studies, Film and Media Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies programs; the offices of Career Services, Dean of the College, Religious and Spiritual Life, and Student Leadership and Involvement; and Association of Lafayette Feminists, COEXIST, Questioning Established Sexual Taboos, Interfaith Living-Learning Community, the Ethics Project, and Hillel Society.
