This year’s celebration of Black Heritage Month used theater, dance, and discussions to focus on the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Lafayette will celebrate Black Heritage Month in February with theater, dance, discussion forums, and lectures. A special theater series will examine the changing racial makeup of American cities across many generations.
