Externships

In addition to internship opportunties, students have the chance to participate in a special program made possible by alumni volunteers—on-site job experiences called "externships." They spend four to seven days, during January interim session, shadowing an alumnus or alumna in a profession that they are interested in pursuing. Approximately 150-200 alumni offer opportunities each year.

The most popular externship areas are financial services, public relations, marketing, and advertising, notes Susan
