International Economics and Commerce is a
coordinate major between the departments
of economics and business and foreign languages
and literatures. It gives students
who are interested in the language, culture,
and economics of a specific country a way to
pursue that interest. They may choose from
three tracks: French, German, or Spanish.
The major requires the development of ad-vanced
language skills and an internship in
the country where the language is spoken.
