Some of the Mathematics of Poker, Prof. Jed Mihalisin, Meredith College
This talk will be roughly 2 parts mathematics, 2 parts poker theory and 1 part anecdotes from living in Las Vegas and playing poker full time. I'll discuss some of the basics -- rules of the game (if needed), pot odds and basic strategy as well as a little game theory, the difference between tournaments and cash games and the question of skill versus luck in poker.
