Office of Campus Sustainability
Our mission is to provide assistance and leadership in the support of Lafayette College’s strategic sustainability goals. Building on the leadership, momentum, and enthusiasm generated by President Daniel Weiss’ signing of the American College & University Climate Commitment, the Office of Campus Sustainability will endeavor to support Lafayette College in our comprehensive goal to become an institutional leader in environmental stewardship. Our partners in this mission are our students, LEAP (student-led environmental organization) faculty, the Campus Sustainability Committee, the Office of Plant Operations, and the Department of Facilities Planning & Construction.
The Office of Campus Sustainability, in conjunction with our mission partners, seeks to provide assistance for the implementation of sustainable actions, policies, and dialogue to further Lafayette College’s sustainable goals. We also seek to educate the campus community as to the current sustainable picture at Lafayette College as well as our goals for future initiatives.

The management of the Office of Campus Sustainability and all of its functions falls under the responsibility of George Xiques, Assistant Director of Facilities Planning & Construction and Manager of Campus Sustainability. Mr. Xiques reports to the Director of Facilities Planning & Construction, Mary Wilford-Hunt. All questions, suggestions, and comments regarding sustainability on our campus should be directed to George Xiques.
