ALASTAIR NOBLE'S SPECIAL INTERESTS include poetry, literature, and public and installation art. His art has been exhibited nationally and internationally for the past 25 years, including at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Venice, Italy. He created sculpture reflecting various phases of the Brooklyn Bridge’s construction for the 21st Annual Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition Outdoor Sculpture Show. His works are included in many private, corporate, and public collections. Noble’s recent commissions include a three-phase project involving the future $30 million New Jersey Transit station in Wayne, where he is consulting on its design, creating the largest artwork in it, and making suggestions for other art based on the theme that he develops. He is the organizer of several symposia and exhibitions on public art and poetry and contributes regularly as a reviewer to Sculpture magazine. He holds a master of fine arts degree from Rutgers University and a bachelor of arts from Hull College of Art, England. |
