LEWIS B. MINTER HAS DEVELOPED and taught courses at Lafayette since 1987. His primary teaching areas are design, media studies, and computer graphics. A painter, sculptor, and designer he has mounted five solo shows of his paintings and sculpture and participated in a dozen group exhibitions.

Minter has guided more than 70 students in independent studies in graphic design. He is currently directing Zakiyyah Haynesworth '02 and Andrew May '02. He is also the primary adviser for three honors condidates with design-related theses—Elida Terry '02, Wendy van Raalte '02, and Jessica Lupo '02. He says the depth of involvement on a one-on-one basis has been a significant factor in the success of the design component of the major.

His work is included in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Rome and dozens of private and corporate collections. An award-winning designer and proprietor of Lew Minter Graphic Design, he provides a wide variety of services to clients.
