Working Together

Lou Prevost ’71 hosted an internship for Jaclyn Vazquez ’07 at the Radnor Hotel, St. David’s, Pa. He’s the hotel’s vice president and general manager.

“Jaclyn’s duties included developing a comparative analysis of our six major competitors regarding 2007 August weddings and rehearsal dinners. This is very important to help us remain in touch with our marketplace. Jackie’s hospitality skills and professional demeanor were evident at all times. Her ability to express her observations and opinions professionally in written electronic communication was a real plus.”

Mark Suffredini ’93 hosted an internship for Jeffrey Ramras ’08 in the Boston office of the global financial firm Smith Barney.

“As our firm moves toward a more holistic wealth-management business model, we have given our advisors the ability to transition their smaller relationships to an internal group at Smith Barney. Jeff worked closely with me to help our 90 financial advisors facilitate that process and took ownership of some key administrative projects.”

Matt Rose ’93 hosted an internship for Madeline Stavis ’08 at MWW Group, New York City. He’s the public relations agency’s senior vice president and general manager, New York region.

Madeline was involved with two large research projects, one on the business development front and the other for the Scottish government. “They both involved researching companies, sifting through large quantities of information, crystallizing her thinking, and expressing herself clearly and concisely. I’ve hired several Lafayette graduates over the years, both in full-time and intern positions. For me, they’re known-quality candidates.”
