LAFAYETTE TODAY
Youth Empowerment Day
The Sports Marketing Club teamed with Delta Upsilon fraternity and the Association of Black Collegians to give children from Easton and Phillipsburg
a day of activities at Fisher Stadium.
The event attracted more than
160 kids from “high-risk environments where they feel anything but empowered,” says club president
Matt Potter ’07 (left in photo). “Many view Lafayette and Easton as separate communities. By breaking down
barriers, we’re creating an environment in which everyone will benefit.”
“The chance to change even one child’s life is exciting, but the opportunity to bring 160 children into our campus community is an honor,” says Marketing Club vice president
Jesse Campoamor ’07 (right in photo).
