The College’s new Alumni Online Community is giving alumni ways to strengthen their connections with one another and Lafayette. More than 3,000 graduates are already taking advantage of the dynamic, free services.
In the online Class Notes they are sharing updates on their personal lives and professional activities—and posting photographs. Everything can be viewed by classmates and other Online Community members as soon as it is posted.
They are signing up to receive free, permanent email forwarding through a College email address that directs email messages to the account of their choice. The feature allows people to stay in touch even when their jobs and email providers change.
They are using an online alumni directory that makes it easier to connect with other Lafayette graduates, from staying in touch with long-time friends to getting to know new friends better.
And they are checking the online calendar of events for information about alumni events and all the happenings on
College Hill and around the country.
“We’re excited about providing these dynamic services,” says Sherri Jones, director of alumni affairs. “Alumni involvement and interaction are already major strengths of the Lafayette Experience, and I believe the Alumni Online Community will take them to an even higher level.”
It’s easy to become a member and takes just a few minutes. To register, go to the Lafayette homepage (www.lafayette.edu) and click on Alumni.
Your unique security code to enter the Alumni Online Community is the L# located above your name on your Lafayette Alumni News mailing label
on the cover of this issue. You will only need this L# the first time you enter the community.
