King and His Court
Pete Carril ’52 has rejoined the NBA’s Sacramento Kings as a consultant. He spent 10 years with the Kings as an assistant coach, the last in 2005-06, after leaving Princeton as the winningest men’s basketball coach in Ivy League history, with 13 conference titles, 11 NCAA tournament appearances, and an NIT championship in 29 seasons. Princeton honored the Hall of Famer in February by naming the game floor at Jadwin Gymnasium Carril Court.
