Wellness and Support

A variety of groups and programs provide information on health and wellness, including ones that students can get involved in as peer educators. The College's Health Promotion program promotes the individual health of each Lafayette student and aids in creating a more healthy college climate through the development and administration of innovative health education. Information on responsible drinking, healthy sexuality, good nutrition, eating disorders, stress management, and other health-related topics is available to students through poster campaigns, awareness weeks, brown-bag lectures, and other special events. Resources including books, pamphlets, videos, CD-ROMs, and more are available in the Counseling Center library.

Besides close friendships that form during the college years, students can find support in various ways including through their resident adviser, peer counselors, and several student organizations such as Nia, Brothers of Lafayette, and Council of Lafayette Women.
