Integrated Sciences Center Construction

The Plant Operations building will be vacated in mid-April for the project. In late April, chain link fencing will be installed around the Plant Ops building and garage next to the steam plant. This fencing will be in place only for the building demolition work.

The Integrated Sciences Center groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for May 11.

Construction fencing on Anderson Courtyard is anticipated to be installed after Reunion Weekend. Fencing will also be installed at grade level of the project site (i.e. current asphalt parking lot/drive area to the west of Dana Labs).

Rock removal, via blasting, is anticipated to commence in June. Blasting for rock removal will be performed for the duration of this summer.

Construction employees will park off campus and be brought to the project site each morning by the foreman, whose vehicle will remain in the construction site area. The plan is for contractor parking to be at the lot of the former laundry building, right at the entrance to Route 22 West.

It is not anticipated that any roads will need to be closed during this time for deliveries.
