Who is eligible to participate in The Bicentennial Tour?

Anyone with Lafayette College pride! This includes alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the College.

When does the challenge begin and end?

The start date for this challenge is Dec. 27. The challenge will close Sept. 6, 2026.

Do I have to live near campus to participate?

No! You can participate from anywhere in the world, as minutes are logged electronically.

What activities count toward my minute goal?

All forms of physical activity count! This includes walking, running, cycling, swimming, yoga, dancing, hiking, team sports, adaptive workouts, resistance training, etc. Special pop-up events sponsored by the College, including rides with President Hurd’s team on the Peloton app, will also be scheduled throughout 2026.

How do I log my fitness minutes?

You can log your fitness minutes using this form.

Can I log minutes retroactively?

Yes! All activity minutes must still fall within the challenge’s start and end times.

How do I receive my Bicentennial Prize after hitting a milestone?

Ensure that you have submitted both the registration and minute tracker forms. Upon doing so, our team will work to ship the prize to the address you provided. Note: This process may take a few weeks. If you have any questions about the whereabouts of your prize, please email us at president@lafayette.edu.

What if I want to participate but have limited mobility or concerns with accessibility?

The Bicentennial Tour is about building connections throughout the entire Lafayette community. Participants are encouraged to adapt activities and equipment for a safe and suitable experience. If you need any support or have any questions, please reach out at president@lafayette.edu.

Can I pick up my prizes in person?

Yes! On the registration form, you can opt to pick up your prizes at the Lafayette College Store during business hours.

What if I don’t want to log minutes but still want prizes?

Sorry! The Bicentennial Tour prizes—specifically for reaching 200 and 2,026 minutes—are exclusive rewards for hitting the minute milestones, and are not for sale. Additional Bicentennial merchandise is available at the College Store.

How can I enter to win tickets to the 2026 NYC Holiday Party?

Participants who post their fitness activities on social media using #LafayetteCollege200 will be entered into a drawing for admission to the final event in our Bicentennial year—a very special 2026 NYC Holiday Party. Note: Your social media must be public in order to enter.
