When President Nicole Farmer Hurd was asked what she was most looking forward to in her role at Lafayette, her response was, “We believe deeply that when you live someplace, it becomes part of you, and I think you need to make a commitment to show up fully. We are excited to learn about our new home—the people, the place, the history.”
Students and alumni celebrated the inauguration of President Hurd by sharing their favorite “spots” on campus and why through the “My Spot is Here” initiative. Many students filled out “My Spot is Here” cards, which were displayed on the Quad on October 1 and given to President Hurd. Alumni shared their favorite locations via an online form.
