In a video message to Lafayette alumni, President Nicole Hurd shares that the College enters the year with a record number of applications and a campus full of energy. She highlights the College’s continued strength in this year’s Princeton Review rankings, including new recognition for Happiest Students, Most Accessible Professors, and Best College Theater, alongside a continued top-five national ranking in Best Career Services.

Marking the Bicentennial’s final semester, President Hurd thanks alumni for a record year of engagement, from reunions to regional events to visits back to campus, and invites alumni to come home once more as the celebration continues. She previews the Bicentennial Village rising on the Quad just for the fall, a temporary structure that will host Homecoming (Nov. 20–21), a concert from Darius Rucker, and a drone show lighting up the Quad, alongside space for students to gather with their peers throughout the semester.

Closing her message with a commitment to “possibility and positivity,” President Hurd reminds alumni that this is “our moment” as Lafayette closes out its Bicentennial and launches into its third century.
